Ephemeral
Not all that is published is meant to last. This collection of abandoned receipt papers challenges the notion of permanence. Considering the material I used I explored the different ways this project can disappear or degrade with time. How the characteristics of duration and materiality (BPA coated paper) impacted it’s ephemeral nature.

Thermal Love Notes, 2017.
Ephem·er·al (adj): Lasting for a very short time, something that is short-lived. Thermal Love notes project was the result of exploring of publishing the ephemeral and the idea of having environmental factors alter a permanent design. A heat source near thermal paper (receipt paper) will cause it to change color, due to the with the chemical bisphenol A (BPA). ‘Thermal Love Notes’ is a collection of found receipt papers that reveal a hidden message when heated.
